Today's Intention

Focus... Focus... Focus on materialising a future where I'm enjoying the moment. I'm starting to realise I'm not living in the moment. So focused on the destination, I'm letting all the goodness of experience pass by. I've come to this conclusion after looking outside and seeing the colour of the sky starting to turn blue at 5:00am. That means summer is on its ways and I have not been enjoying the outdoors anywhere near as much as I should be. I'm just stuck on this cycle of, "Need to upgrade my job", and "Need to upgrade my house", and "Need to get my side hustle up and running". These are all fun things to be aiming for, but I do feel like I'm skipping over the experience of the day at times. Here is a perfect example. I sat outside a cafe with a colleague yesterday and had a coffee, I was talking about how fun it would be to work in Birmingham city centre where... You could go to cafes and sit outside with colleagues after work. I was there, doing the exact thing I was talking about doing... In stead of being in the moment and enjoying the coffee in the sunshine. So, with that, the intention is not to slow down with pursuing my goals. Just to be a little more mindful of the path I'm treading on my journey.

I'm Grateful For

The sunshine was nice yesterday. Right on the edge of that summer feeling. So I'm incredibly grateful for Spring. It's the perfect transition to a wonderful summer.

Something I'm Great At

I was impressed with my Lat Pulldowns in the gym last night. Felt like my work in the area of my body is starting to yield rewards. It was that I broke a personal best. I just moved up to a weight near my personal best and was able to push through quite a few repetitions before a glorious fail. So yeah. Feeling like my strength on the pulldown machine is coming along nicely.
