Today's Intention
I'll start today with another Wow. After my brain being bent in half yesterday I said I would follow my routines in an attempt to bring me back to a state of claim. And.... My god did it work. I love these routines so much. Do them mindfully and they can pull you from the deepest of funky feels into whichever state you fancy. Yesterday I fancied feeling calm, so I did my extended Breathwork, cold shower, sunlight, a walk and got my feet on the grass in my favourite field. And there it was. A calm content Matthew, sitting in a field thinking about positives steps. And that leads me to today's intention.
During my breathing this morning Dave Goggins came to me in a vision. If you don't know who he is, he is like a shouting Navy Seal that tells you your brain is the only limitation on what you can achieve. The vision was clear on my 2026 objectives, and David was telling me with lots of F's and other fowl language to stop crying. Focus on where your going, not the roadblocks life throws at you. With that the vision was a clear as it could be. I need to put the things on a vision board though... Separate line of thinking... So my intention for today is to sit in the confidence that I'm travelling the correct path. Negative events, people that say thing you don't want to hear. That's all part of the journal. Those things help steer you and pressure test your thoughts. Oh and let's not forget the positive events that confirm were on walking a path worth walking
I'm Grateful For
People. I talk to large language models a lot and there is lots of variations in answer and where a conversation will go. But, there is nothing like talking to a human to fill you with suprise, disappointment or adventure. Even the most stable of people can act in ways that catch us off guard. It's that "Human Touch" that really sets us apart from the machines and makes us so interesting. A machine will be pretty consistent day in, day out, unless you prompt it not to be. But even then you can derive patterns. Humans are outrageous. Random events can lead to random behaviours. And this is where fun lies. We like to think we know people. Our family, partners, friends, colleges and even. Those we don't know. But at our core, there are some many variables that lead to a behaviour. Twerk the variables enough and someone will behave in ways you would call completely out of character. There is the gratitude. For the fun and suprise humans bring to the world.
